Nippon parcel-gilt and paint-decorated porcelain vase, Morimura Brothers, early 20th c., bottle neck encircled by three handles, over tapered body with hand-painted scene of a lush pond with receding mountainous landscape, accented by gilded rose motifs and raised enamel, green maple leaf mark underfoot, approx 11.5"h, 4.5"diam, 1.5lbs
CR 9.2.25 - In my opinion regarding LOT: 1376- the vase is overall intact and stands sturdy, a careful UV light examination is largely unremarkable though there is fluorescence visible on either side of one handle accompanied by slight discoloration, the interior shows no reaction and while I cannot definitively confirm this as an old professional repair I do not believe it to be, please see additional images for reference, otherwise there is typical mellowing with rubs and wear to the moriage and painted surfaces, light inherent pitting and expected wear underfoot, all commensurate with age and display, no significant chips or cracks observed
