(pair) French Louis XV style parquetry card tables, (one) signed F. Linke at back right leg (Francois Linke, French, 1855-1946), late 19th/ early 20th c., hinged top rosewood banded and parquetry inlaid, enclosing an inset green baize surface, above an ormolu-mounted apron, on bronze dore paw feet, closed: approx 31"h, 35.75"w, 15"d, open: approx 30"h, 33.5"w, 33.25"d **Provenance: the contents of the prominent San Antonio Holt Family's Terrell Hills home**
10.8.24-
In my opinion regarding LOT: 3221- after a careful examination, I note that both tables stand sturdy, hinged tops operate smoothly, both exhibit only minor wear with some overall light tonal variation, lines in banded trim, light wood wear and some rubs, bronze mounts are present throughout and appear securely attached, I note only some mellowing, patination and light rubs, no major defects observed to either, see below for more detail, all mentioned minor and commensurate with age and use
1. The table has a minute, very small veneer repair to back left corner (pinky nail size in trim), some typical minor, small nicks to leg edges and light spotting
2. This table exhibits some small imperfections (spots?) on the top surface, it is possible that they are professional repairs, but again, they are very small and difficult to discern, there is a minute divot to the front left corner, and minor wood wear, inner table green top liner shows some lines
