Condition

12.3.25- In my opinion regarding LOT 3279: I note that both structures appear structurally secure and the clock stands sturdy on the underlying stand, the lacquered finish is overall well-retained with some typical minor rubs and some minute bubbling, as well as sparse surface wear such as light abrasions, nicks and scuffs, mostly at the edges of the legs commensurate with use, the glass encased within door panel is free from observed hairlines/ fractures or visible chipping, the ormolu elements remain securely mounted throughout with some sparse, minor pitting, brass inlay is free from observed losses and exhibits some spots of light patination, please note that we are not clock specialists, however I have observed the clock operating for five minutes, hands and pendulum move as expected, and the chime would likely benefit from an adjustment
