Remington-Hepburn No. 3 Rifle, drop block action operated by lever at right receiver, .40-65 caliber, four drilled and tapped holes at the muzzle, 30.25" octagonal barrel measured from muzzle through bore to drop block, lacks original front and rear sight, mounted 23.5"l scope without front lens by "L.C. Cummins, Montpelier, Vt., Pat. June 14, 1892", marked at barrel top under scope on one line "Remington Arms Co. Ilion N.Y", lacking forestock, barrel underside with numbers: SN "8595" (matched at trigger guard tang), "40 65" (twice), "39219', marked at the left receiver on two lines "Hepburn's Pat., Oct. 7th, 1879", double set triggers, checkered walnut pistol grip stock, lacks butt plate, butt with cleaning equipment or cartridge storage port, wood with light scratching, the trigger guard with wrapped tape behind rearmost trigger, metal with scratches and light surface rust spots, bore semi bright with very strong rifling some pitting near muzzle, rifle overall: 45.5"l, 13.15lbs *REQUIRES FFL TRANSFER* Start Price: $400.00
