03.07.24: In my opinion regarding LOT 1159: I note that the jardiniere is presently intact and structurally sturdy, with the porcelain appearing secure to the bronze, the pigment of figural scenes and gilt accents are overall well-preserved, I observe minute iron pitting to the porcelain, as well as visible seams at side edges, the bronze exhibits patination/ oxidation, I do not presently observe chips or hairlines to the porcelain, and the jardiniere would benefit from a light cleaning to resolve minor grime build up commensurate with age and use, examination under blacklight does not reveal evidence of restoration or damage
