Spanish Baroque period walnut and oak cabinet or cupboard, 18th c., rectangular case fitted with six paneled cabinet doors, mounted with iron hardware and strap hinges, each enclosing fixed-height shelf, the upper doors with latticed paneling, the central doors fitted with two drawers, on short block feet, square pegged joinery, approx 89.5"h, 54"w, 23"d
06/29/2026: In my opinion regarding LOT: 3132- the 18th century cabinet remains sturdy and structurally sound, the case exhibits tonal variation, scattered surface wear, nicks, minor shrinkage separations, typical evidence of old inactive woodworm, and restoration, the forged iron hardware shows oxidation, I note a few lacking lock mechanisms, the lower left support is stable and intact with a wood loss as pictured, the interior has been lined with an orange textile and it appears there is another liner beneath that, the visible outer layer appears to be stapled in place, preventing examination of the underlying other lining, how it is affixed to the cabinet and the wood without removal, later interior lighting has been installed with openings cut for electrical wiring, including an opening through one shelf and the rear panel, the lighting would need to be rewired if use is desired, all mentioned commensurate with origin, age, handling and use, in my opinion the cabinet retains a warm and patina and presents well
