U.S. Model 1912 Officer's Coat or Great Coat, Winter, mfg. label "Heidelberg Wolff & Co., Contract April 12, 1917, Specification No. 1176, New York Depot Q.M.C," and ink stamp dated "October 20 (or 30), 1918", the lined interior also with initials in ink "W.J.M." in two places, both sleeves with galloon or braiding, the left sleeve near hem with a three stripe chevron sewn over the braiding indicating nine years of service, no coat size listed, heavy wool, 8 buttons, two exterior pockets, lined interior with two interior pockets connecting pockets to the exterior and one pocket interior only, approx. measure. shoulder to shoulder 17.75", shoulder to sleeve hem 24.5", shoulder to lower hem 42", two buttons with chipping, moth holes, for shipping approx. 6lbs    **Provenance: Collection of T'Odon Charles (Chuck) Leshikar, Jr., (Texas,1946-2020), Vietnam, U.S. Army Lt. ,“Delta Raiders,” D Company, 2nd Battalion, 501st Airborne Infantry Regiment, later Echo Company commander, Silver Star, three Bronze Stars, Soldiers Medal, Purple Heart.
