03.7.24: In my opinion regarding LOT 1146: I note that the vase is presently intact and structurally secure, with the foot sitting securely against flat display surface, the handles also appear secure to either side of the vessel, there is typical light wear to the gilt flecking, and close observation of the head of the beast support reveals minor imperfections/ flaws likely original to the glass stretching process during production, examination under a loupe does not suggest these spots to be hairlines or chips, further examination under UV light does not suggest evidence of damage or restoration
