9.25.25 - In my opinion regarding LOT: 3083—the screen is fine and delicate in nature, the gilt surfaces show scattered rubs, small losses, and areas of later touch-up with associated tonal variation, the openwork ornaments shows a few minor losses and some bent/broken strands, mostly confined to the upper crest and not readily apparent, the frame has scattered nicks, light wear, and minor losses, the embroidered silk panels, each with a distinct avian scene and gold-tone thread accents, are intact with light picks/pulls and minor runs, I note a visible central seam where the textiles appear pieced, no rips or tears observed, please refer to the images for full views of both sides, overall the screen presents well with all observed wear commensurate with age and use
