Condition

02.13.26 - In my opinion regarding LOT 3128: I note that the sideboard stands sturdy, the doors remaining tight on hinges, and the glass panes being securely encased within framing, the glass is free from observed hairlines/ fractures or visible chipping, as are the porcelain insets, which exhibit a light build-up of surface grime that would benefit from a gentle cleaning, the bronze elements remain securely mounted with patination and mellowing, the ebonized finish is overall well-retained with some typical minor rubs and sparse surface wear such as a few small chips and nicks commensurate with age and use, the veneer also having some scattered minute splits, which remain stable, the interior fabric lining having tonal variations associated with light staining consistent with use and the shelving appears sturdy, and I observe a few small segments of loss to the marquetry with filled and inpainted concealment that are overall minor
