Vintage translucent apple juice Bakelite bangle bracelet, reverse carved and painted design with fish among underwater foliage, approx 1 3/8"w, interior: approx 7.5"l, 105 grams **Provenance: From the estate of Dorothy Jean McPhaul, whose small East Austin antique shop, Johnnie’s Antiques, has survived for generations despite rapid city expansion. McPhaul, a true lover of all things antique and a retired educator with a 40-year tenure at the LaGrange Public School system, personally collected African American memorabilia, jewelry, glassware, pottery, amongst other rare and fine antiques. Established by McPhaul’s grandfather, Simon Sidle, in 1918, Johnnie’s Antiques is among the last vintage properties on East 6th Street, and notable as one of the first black-owned businesses in Austin. After assuming proprietorship in 1999, Dorothy followed in the family tradition as a fixture of the Texas antique sale circuit.**
2.7.24-In my opinion regarding LOT: 111- both need to be restrung, I note some general dust and light grime, the pair would likely benefit from a good cleaning, I observe some minor surface wear, slight color variation, a few areas of spotting/possible paint splatter, there is minor wear along edges, I do not see any broken or severely damaged pieces, I am not an expert on Bakelite, I have taken numerous images for your review, please let me know should you have further questions

Detailed condition reports are not included in this catalog.
