05.12.25: In my opinion regarding LOT 2355: I note that the painting is presently intact and remains securely encased within framing, close visual examination reveals a couple minute pinhole sized spots of paint loss (only visible from a very close perspective), the pigment being overall well-retained and the hue of the colors remaining vibrant, UV light examination does not reveal evidence of restoration or inpainting, the paper dust cover lining the reverse remains in a partial state, revealing two labels as described, the frame remains structurally sturdy, with typical minor separation at a couple of the corners, the gilt finish overall well-preserved with light mellowing and a few minor chips and areas of spotting commensurate with age and use
