British Webley & Scott No. 2 MK I Smoke Grenade Launcher, dated 1916, double action, a modification of the same numbered pistol model by adding the grenade barrel, as shown mfg. prior to WWII, marked at the left frame "No 2 Mark I", the left barrel marked "Pistol.Grenade.2.1/2", 1916, Webley & Scott Ltd, London & Birmingham", "No.2 Mark I marked out", two broad arrows and three British proof marks, the front barrel section with serial number "4820" and "179". "crown over IS over 531", broad arrow, and "T.E.C. N , I over 1940", the serial number repeated in three places around trigger guard, "upside U and 5" marked at flat to the right of trigger guard and repeated at left side of hammer and underside of barrel together with serial number", "upside down U and 5" on butt under left grip, steel, wood grips, lanyard ring, black finish with light scratches but overall good, the breech opens by downward push of serrated lever at top of the frame, for shipping 6.5" x 13" x 3.5", 5.55lbs..
