Condition

6.18.25-In my opinion regarding LOT: 1200- In my opinion regarding LOT: 1200- As described the canvas has been relined with a solid support between the two canvas panels, a careful UV light examination reveals only some craquelure, noted mostly in the clouds, and inherent variation to the paint thickness, there is a small seam in the upper left quadrant that may have been a minor split in the canvas that was likely resolved with a professional restoration (see images with small spots of slight yellowed discoloration in the clouds), the painting would likely benefit from a gentle cleaning, as I observe some light discoloration/grime at upper clouds, I am not an expert on such works, so let me know if you have further questions on the work, the linen liner shows some spotting, frame is stable and secure with some scattered small areas of finish loss, rubs, spotting and tonal variation
