Framed oil on panel painting, "Red Roof and Snow Walk/ Brandywine Winter," signed in ink lower right Wm. Sommer (William Sommer, Ohio/ Michigan, 1867-1949), titled in pencil on back stretcher, central title plaque with alternative title, retaining Gallery at Land's End, San Diego, California stamp verso, sight: approx 15 1/8"h, 18 3/8"w, overall: approx 20"h, 23"w, 6.5lbs  **Provenance: From a fine Austin estate. Consignor obtained this piece from the estate of her parents in La Jolla, California. Prior, this piece was gifted to her father from his friend and client, Joseph M. Erdelac (Ohio, 1915-2005), the foremost collector of William Sommer's works. Artworks from the Joseph M. Erdelac Collection can be found in prominent institutions such as the Cleveland Museum of Art, Princeton University, and the Smithsonian's Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden.**
