9.2.25-In my opinion regarding LOT: 1217- please note, I am not an expert on such works so have taken numerous images for your reference, the work is executed on panel and shows two vertical splits, both stable and reinforced from the reverse with added wood strapping,I do not know what or if there is anything under the horizontal strapping, one located just left of center and the other running through the center, see images, a UV light examination reveals an older varnish layer with scattered areas of inpainting, the surface shows some minor abrasions, thickness, and variation in the application of paint, though this may also be inherent to the artist’s technique, the frame is stable and securely houses the panel, with scattered nicks and minor wear as pictured
