Winchester Model 94 Golden Spike Commemorative Saddle Ring Carbine "Oceans United by Rail", lever action, .30-30 caliber, 20" barrel, hooded front sight, adjustable rear sight, tubular magazine, gold plated reeivers, the left marked "1869, 1969", the wallnut butt stock with an inset medal commemorating the completion of the Pacific and Union Pacific Railroad, accented with gilt barrel bands and butt plate, lacks original packaging, bright bore with strong rifling, metal and wood with a few light scratches, SN GS50346 **Provenance: Estate of Henry D. Evans (New York, Texas,1933-2021) Master Sergeant U.S.A.F, Retired. A 23 year veteran of the U.S. Air Force, he served in the Air Force Rifle Marksmanship Unit, Lackland A.F.B., as a marksman and instructor. Evans earned multiple excellence in competition badges throughout his service culminating in the award of the U.S. Air Force Distinguished Rifleman badge, number 84, and was a member of the President's 100, awarded to the 100 top scoring military and civilian shooters in the President's Pistol and President's Rifle Matches.
