C. 124th Machine Gun Btn., 33rd Div., A.E.F.", includes (2) glass negative photos of an apparent presentation with audience, soldiers setting up machine gun, cavalry horses and soldiers; (1) hand written diary beginning in May 1918 through April 1919 with detailed description of combat starting in Sept. 1918 in 45 day Meuse-Argonne offensive campaign that saw the A.E.F. engage in its' bloodiest battle of WWI; (1) photo album, includes more than 90 photos apparently taken by Levering, mostly in Europe, a photo showing a machine gun company, hand written notes with one partially reading "A new gas is reported being used by the enemy.
