(2 pieces) Danish leather 'Egg' seating group, Arne Jacobsen (Danish, 1902-1971) for Fritz Hansen, each in a cognac leather upholstery on chromed metal tripodal base, including: (1) chair, sculptural form with swivel function and loose seat cushion, approx 42"h, 35"w, 30.5"d, seat height: 15"h, (1) ottoman/ foot rest, approx 16.75"h, 21.75"w, 16.25"d **Provenance: the contents of the prominent San Antonio Holt Family's Terrell Hills home**

9.28.24-LOT 1208: I note that the chair and ottoman are presently intact and structurally sturdy, the leather upholstery of both being well-preserved, remaining tautly bound to the underlying frame, and appearing secure at exterior seams, there is a very minor tonal variation from areas of light patination commensurate with gentle use, the loose cushion and curved back edge of seat with typical minor creasing, there are a few areas of minute peeling near the peeling, such as the piping directly below seat, and the back of chair at upper corners along piping, the swivel function operating smoothly, these sparse, minute spots of surface wear are typical and commensurate with light use, the ottoman has a small stain to the underside adjacent to metal support, the metal base of chair and ottoman having light oxidation and spotting, all mentioned commensurate with age and use
