Condition

04.17.2026- In my opinion regarding LOT: 3161- please note that while we render our opinion, we are not clock experts, I have taken numerous images for your reference, this piece was examined on the wall, I am unable to view the top surface, the case and bracket are stable an intact, they both rest comfortably on the wall, both pieces exhibit tonal variation, some nicks, scattered loss/wear to finish and impressions, mostly noted along edge, the door operates well with the glazed pane free of chips or cracks the interior is as pictured with patination marks, rubs (center ring) and light spotting to the face, applied metal elements show mellowing, scattered spotting, and general light wear, all commensurate with age and use, as mentioned in the catalog description, the time and chime movements were observed operating, the clock is accompanied by a well-fitting pendulum and key, it winds with relative ease and the movement responds to winding, the bell was not tested, as with all of our antique clocks, this piece would likely benefit from a professional inspection to ensure accurate time-keeping as well as a thorough cleaning of the movement
