(pair) French Louis XVI style console tables, in the manner of Jean-Henri Riesener (French, 1734-1806), early 20th c., shaped marble top, frieze with bronze dore mounts of Bacchic putti, on tapering fluted legs, joined by x-form cross stretcher, (one) marble top intact with professional restoration, approx 33"h, 47.5"w, 20"d **Provenance: the contents of the prominent San Antonio Holt Family's Terrell Hills home**
9.26.24-In my opinion regarding LOT: 3230-The pair of consoles and sturdy and are intact overall, finishes do vary, it is quite possible that one is sun faded, however I am unsure, as described marble tops are intact with some stabilization to slim/minor hairlines and small divots, there is some typical very minute, small roughness concentrated along edges, bronze mounts appear bright, present and intact on both consoles with some light patination, mellowing, and rubs, the rear legs of both tables lack two bronze pendant/insets in fluted carving, this appears to be how they were made and is uniform across both tables at the back, the stretcher on the lighter example appears to have a restoration to one side and a gap in the seam, I have taken close-up images for your review, this stretcher is stable and secure at this time, overall frames exhibit only very slight wood wear, and sparse scattered small dark spots, the darker console has a small area of trim that was possibly replaced as it varies in color, see image, I do not know if the feet had caps at one time, they do look a bit plain, so have taken images for your review, I am not an expert on such furniture and all sales or final, so please let me know should you have further questions
