(lot of 2) Military Swords: (1) U.S. Model 1906 Light Cavalry Sword, the curving 34.5" blade marked at the right ricasso "A.S. Co.. over an ordnance bomb, over 1906" (Ames Manufacturing Company), the left ricasso marked "U.S. over J.H.C." (believed to be J.H. Cooper, U.S. Inspector), three branch guard, wire wrapped leather handle, blade with some dark spots and rough edge areas, housed in a dented metal scabbard with attached brass and leather "Pettibone" marked hanger mounted on a garrison equipment belt together with a "U.S." stamped leather flap holster, maker stamped and dated "G.&K.,1917, A.G." (Graton & Knight Mfg. Co., Worcester, Mass.), sword and scabbard approx. 42,25"l; (1) German U.S. Model 1902 Officer Saber, the 33.5" curving blade saber weighing approx.1.30lbs is marked that the right ricasso with a walking bear and "Made in Germany", brass three branch guard, wire wrapped leather handle with some loss, guard is loose, metal scabbard with attached sword chain and vintage WWI-pre WWII era Liberty Belt also known as the Sam Browne belt with cross belt and D rings (no visible markings), blade is silver tone with some rough spots at edge and dark spots, scabbard with rust, sword and scabbard approx. 40"l, for shipping total of both approx. 8.70lbs **Provenance: Collection of T'Odon Charles (Chuck) Leshikar, Jr., (Texas,1946-2020), Vietnam, U.S. Army Lt. ,“Delta Raiders,” D Company, 2nd Battalion, 501st Airborne Infantry Regiment, later Echo Company commander, Silver Star, three Bronze Stars, Soldiers Medal, Purple Heart.
