(lot of 4) Igor Stravinsky related items: (1) photo, c.1934, composer and conductor Igor Stravinsky (Igor Fyodorovich Stravinsky, Russian/American, 1882-1971) seated at a piano, at his left is violinist Samuel Dushkin (Polish/American, 1891-1976), sight approx. 5.75"h, 6"w, overall approx. 7"h, 8.25"w' (1) hand written letter and envelope in ink by Vera de Bosset (Bose) Stravinsky (second wife of Igor Stravinsky, Germany, Russia, United States,1888-1982), the letter addressed to Mr. & Mrs. Samuel Dushkin, the return address being the first Stravinsky home in California at 124 South Swall Drive, Beverly Hills, California and written in French about six months after Vera's marriage to Igor, mostly about family, near the end an upcoming concert in Chicago is mentioned, signed Vera Strav. (1) typed 1940 letter to Igor Stravinsky (misspelled), signed Ernst Meyer regarding raising money to bring Erich Itor Kahn (German composer of Jewish decent, 1905-1956), then interred in France as an enemy alien, to the United States; (1) a carbon copy of a typed German language letter, undated, (c.1940), the subject is about raising money to free Erich (Erich Itor Kahn) and bring him and his wife to the United States Detailed condition reports are not included in this catalog.
