05.17.24: In my opinion regarding LOT 3405: As described the bust is currently intact with hairlines, after examination with UV light, notably multiple hairlines visible on the underside of the bust, several of which are likely firing flaws, none seem to be reinforced or exhibit evidence of restoration, there is inherent tonal variation throughout, including from remnants of a painted or slip-coated decoration, particularly visible at the base, the bust appears to sit comfortably and securely upon flat display surface, I observe light abrasions concentrated on the exterior of the woman’s exposed shoulder
