American Aesthetic Movement sterling silver and mixed metal water pitcher, Dominick & Haff, retailed by Theodore B. Starr, New York, c.1880, hand-hammered throughout and decorated with applique butterflies and birds in flight over sunburst florals, gecko perched atop the handle at one side, underfoot hallmarked sterling, D&H lozenge-circle-diamond maker mark stamped 1880, impressed number 15, approx 7.75"h, 7"w, 6.5"d, 40.47ozt (inclusive of all materials)
01.07.26 - In my opinion regarding LOT: 3191- the pitcher is overall intact with no noted breaks to metal, applied decorations are present and well defined, the hand hammered nature of the pitcher makes it difficult to discern any small dents, but there are no apparent major dents, I note a very minor, ding to interior rim near handle, handle is securely attached, I further observe some light rubs, abrasions and minor wear, all mentioned commensurate with use
