Cased Matched Pair of Percussion Pistols, Belgium, mid 19th century, approx. .48-50 caliber, octagonal 8.5" fully damascened silver tone rifled barrels slightly flared at the muzzle ends and having blade front sights over a ramrod with button front end and threaded back end, the barrels held to the wood frame by a single wedge, right side engraved percussion locks, one with bird and hunting dog, one with rabbit and dog and foliate decoration, the hammer and trigger guards with similar scrolled decoration, the wood frames appear as walnut with carved crossed rope like grips, the butts with foliate engraved metal bulbous cover, the mahogany case with an inset name plate at top and fitted interior with various tools and includes a small powder flask and bullet mold, both pistols with good operating action, the underside of the barrels stamped with numerous markings including the Liege ELG over a star within an oval, Star over L, several crown marks over different letters including "D", "F", "B", letters 74 and 6336, stylized "E", "MB", wood with light scratching, one barrel with two rubs, bores with light surface rust, for shipping case with all items is approx.
