Chinese porcelain-inset four-panel floor screen, with Shan Shui style transferred landscapes, depicting architectural motifs in mountainous coastal landscapes, with hand-painted calligraphic script, housed in pierced hardwood frame, each panel: approx 74"h, 20"w (each panel)
07.31.25: In my opinion, I note that the screen stands sturdy, each panel appearing secure at hinge joinery, hinges remain tight, and the porcelain plaques remain securely encased within framing, the transfer decoration is overall well-preserved and free from notable losses, close visual and UV light examinations do not reveal evidence of porcelain restoration or hairlines/ fractures, some very slightly visible edges of plaques with minute flea bite chips commensurate with inherent contact/ rubbing against framing, the tracery of the paneling is also well-retained, having only a few sparse splits, which are typical, and a couple seams of glue reinforcement
