Contemporary painted wood and metal fruit basket, "Wave Hill," c.1991, Dan Friedman (American, 1945-1995), produced in limited edition by Neotu, Paris, approx 16.5"h, 27"w, 21"d, accompanied by book: "Dan Friedman: Radical Modernism," Yale University Press, 1994, signed by the artist in black marker on the front fixed endpaper, approx 11.25"h, 9"w, 9.5lbs total **Provenance: Shown in an exhibition at the Art Institute of Chicago**

3.10.25-In my opinion regarding LOT 2187, the work is overall intact with some natural play and movement to the metal as inherent to its form, I observe some surface wear, light nicks to paint, possible touch ups, and marks, mostly noted at the orb feet and center ball, the interior basket at the bottom shows some paint wear and light surface marks the whole would likely benefit from a good cleaning, a UV examination reveals no signs of restoration only the aforementioned light surface wear, there is a partial sticker remaining on the base, the accompanying book's dust cover is intact but exhibits some small tears, the book cover shows fading and staining particularly on the front, the interior remains overall intact, with the sculpture featured on page 18
