English Georgian period oak Welsh dresser, late 18th c., having open shelves above eight shallow drawers, lower case fitted with six drawers, flanked by two cabinet doors, rising on bracket feet, approx 87"h, 74"w, 20"d

03.20.25: In my opinion regarding LOT 1178: I note that the structure is presently intact and stands sturdy, with some typical separation  and minor splits overall, as are typical, particularly at the back paneling of the rack and the medial surface, all appearing to remain stable, there is minor evidence of old woodworm commensurate with origin concentrated to the rack back panels, all drawers currently operating smoothly, all but the top drawer of the lower case with fabric-lined interiors, the fabric with some typical minor staining and overall wear commensurate with use, I observe inherent, naturally occurring knots and flaws of the wood, as is typical of oak, the lower left-hand cabinet door with a central patched restoration extending vertically, and there is minor surface wear commensurate with use and Georgian period origin such as small areas of finish peeling, abrasions, nicks, and chips, all of which are typical of the period
