03.14.25: In my opinion regarding LOT 1179: I note that the cabinet is presently intact and structurally sturdy, with inherent tonal variation throughout the veneer, as well as having typical small areas of light discoloration/ staining, including a darkened area from previous lower-mounted escutcheons on the cabinet doors, and grain stretch marks, the drawers operating overall smoothly, with separation to the bottom paneling, the interior shelving of the cabinetry appearing sturdy, the left side door with a small patch repair near the central quadrant, and there are some scattered minor fills, which are also typical in furniture of the period, I observe a few minor splits and typical separation, as well as minor surface wear such as light abrasions, nicks, chips, and some overall surface unevenness commensurate with age and use
