11.6.25 - In my opinion regarding LOT: 2331- the box stands sturdy and the hinges are secure, the top exhibits four dark spots near the center of each side, possibly indicating former mounts or decorative embellishments, I am unsure, brass corner and escutcheon mounts are intact with some oxidation and light rubbing, the wood shows scattered nicks, spotting, and tonal variation throughout, the interior dividers appear well, overall surface displays a warm patina, all wear and irregularities appear consistent with age, handling, and use
