Exceptional English parcel-ebonized burlwood sideboard/ credenza, late 19th/ early 20th c., finished in amboyna burl veneers, superstructure having shield-form beveled mirror plate with gilt-metal beaded trim, framed by additional beveled mirror plates and open shelving, on fluted columnar supports, above shaped case fitted with three drawers, with inset hand-painted porcelain roundels in rinceau frieze, over two central doors with porcelain portrait plaques, revealing open interiors, framing mirrored compartment, flanked by glazed doors with fixed-height shelving, ending on blunt arrow feet, approx 96"h, 72.5"w, 19.5"d 2.16.25- In my opinion regarding LOT: the structure is overall in stable and sturdy condition, glass and mirrors appear intact throughout, with mirror plates retaining a thick bevel, the upper central case is likely lacking finials at center, the case exhibits some small breaks and losses to string inlay and veneer, including to the lower center section, see images, rubs and wear to finish, abrasions and surface wear, particularly noted along edges, minor trim loss, small losses to applied metal trim with some breaks and lifting, patination and spotting, doors all operate smoothly, glazed panels are intact and free of noted chips or cracks, lined interiors show some staining, discoloration and wear, overall the cabinet shows age and small losses commensurate with age and use
