Spanish Colonial carved santo/ altar figure, likely Philippine, 19th c., gesso over wood with polychrome paint, depicting a female saint holding a pebble in right hand, fully carved in the round, with inset glass eyes, adorned in an elaborate silk mantle, the mantle possibly 18th century, with couched floral appliques and metallic lace wire embroidery, central cruciform pendant surrounded by gilt sequins, with lace cuffs and tasseled belt, fine lace undergarment, expected loss and wear to clothing, approx 19.5"h, 7"w, 6"d, 3.25lbs **Provenance: The collection of Kathryn V. CR 1.5.26 - In my opinion regarding LOT: 3138- the figure stands sturdy  the head and neck show some loss to paint with visible gesso, and minor inpainting (under UV light), the left arm feels loose within the sleeve (however it does feel attached), fingers are with some restoration and loss, as shown, the gowns are in fragile condition, I am unable to remove the clothing, I have taken a small view of the underside, figure is carved with blue painted robes, also showing some wear to paint, all mentioned commensurate with age and display
