Framed Chinese parcel-gilt ink on paper fan, with calligraphic inscriptions of "21 poems from the Tang dynasty," original poems by Du Fu (712-770), worn calligrapher signature Li Tingzhao, dedicatory inscription to "fourth brother Yunchu," worn two-character seal lower left, small worm-eaten paper losses, sight: approx 8.5"h, 19.75"w, overall: approx 13.5"h, 24.25"w, 4.5lbs **Provenance: the contents of a fine 1960s Paris, France apartment** **Note: per consignor, the fan was gifted to the previous owner by the president of Mitsubishi Motors in the late 1960s**

5.22.26-In my opinion regarding LOT: 1051- the work was examined in frame and on the wall, I do not have permission to open the work, my report is on the visible image only, I do not know how, or if the work mounted, as described small area of insect damage, mainly to the left quadrant, a pin hole to center and some wear along the right edge, paper appears with some crinkling, speckling, discoloration, and imperfections, the frame shows much wear, with surface abrasions, nicks and mars, the brown velvet-like liner shows color variation, some lines and marks
