French Louis Philippe period giltwood mirror, mid 19th c., having scrolled foliate and floral crest, over arched frame with beaded trim, encasing flat mirror plate, later gilt painted touchups, some silver loss to mirror plate, approx 61.5"h, 36.5"w, 67lbs
03.14.25: In my opinion regarding LOT 3332: I note that the mirror is presently intact, the mirror plate being free from observed chips or fractures (not examined outside frame), and remaining securely encased within framing, with small areas of hazing and silver loss spotting, the gilt finish having tonal variations commensurate with typical rubs and mellowing commensurate with age and use, as well as areas of gilt-painted touch-ups, particularly along the top edge and the crest, overall having scattered typical chipped losses, all being minor and commensurate with use, there are additional minor gilt losses along seams of craquelure, the frame having typical splits throughout, particular at the top rounded corners, but remains intact and appears to retain structural integrity
