French Louis XVI style mahogany commode, 20th c., having shaped marble top, above three drawers with patinated metal trim, flanked by fluted corner posts, rising on fluted tapering legs, ending on brass cap feet, approx 33"h, 39.5"w, 15.5"d
9.25.25 - In my opinion regarding LOT: 1131—please pardon the images as the commode is located in a darkened area of the gallery, the structure is stable and sturdy, the marble top is intact with some typical small chips along the molded edge and back, as well as light surface wear, minor discoloration, and sticker residue that appears easily cleanable, the case is largely clean with only very slight scattered nicks, rubs, and minor abrasions, I note a very small wood loss/dent at the upper left curved trim piece as pictured, the side panels could not be fully accessed and I direct you to the online images for complete views, the metal mounts and trim appear present with patination and some spotting, overall the commode remains in good condition with all observed wear light and consistent with age and use
