05.28.24: In my opinion regarding LOT 3223: I note that the secretaire is presently intact and structurally sturdy, the marble top exhibits inherent natural inclusions and fissures, as well as having typical sparse, minor chipping to edges, some with minute fills, there is patination of the gilt metal banded accents and hardware, the drawer and drop-front operating smoothly, the interior shelves exhibit minor chips to front edge, and the inset writing surface displays light discoloration, creasing, and a couple minor nicks and spots of surface-level loss, I observe typical light surface wear such as minor abrasions, chips, and light nicks commensurate with age and use
