04.15.25: I note that the sideboard is intact and structurally sturdy, the drawers and cabinetry operating smoothly, including the lock plates, the metal cap feet and escutcheons remaining securely mounted with patination, the interior with a slightly musty smell that would likely benefit from being aired out, I observe evidence of old woodworm commensurate with origin that is seemingly contained to the back paneling, the marble top being free from observed fractures/ hairlines, having inherent, naturally occurring inclusions and fissures, as well as sparse minute chipping to edges, mostly at the unfinished back edge, there is a very minor amount of typical light surface wear such as shallow abrasions and nicks commensurate with age and use
