French Provincial Louis XV style fruitwood sideboard, 19th c., having canted rectangular top, above three paneled cabinet doors, revealing fixed-height shelving, rising on short cabriole legs, ending on whorl feet, approx 34.25"h, 74.25"w, 23.5"d
02.04.26: In my opinion regarding LOT 2228: I note that the sideboard stands sturdy, with the cabinet doors remaining tight on the exterior hinges, the interior lined in a toile-de-joie contact paper, remaining overall well-kept/ clean, the fruitwood having typical light tonal variations, as well as evidence of old woodworm commensurate with origin, I observe a couple of minor, stable splits extending from the right side quadrant of the top, and some scattered small filled repairs, a minute patch repair appearing at the top edge of central door, I note typical minor surface wear such as small chips and abrasions commensurate with age and use
