French Provincial oak vaisselier/ kitchen dresser, 18th c., inlaid throughout with striped and triangle pattern banded parquetry trim, molded cornice, above three-shelf rack, lower case fitted with stud-worked drawer, above pair of foliated cabinet doors, enclosing fixed shelving, on straight supports, hand-chamfered back paneling, approx 87.5"h, 48"w, 24"d **Provenance: Treasures from the vaults of a Dallas designer**
04.17.2026- In my opinion regarding LOT: 2140- the cabinet is in stable and sturdy condition, it is 18thc. with a warm and tonal patina, boards are thick and many hand chamfered with a wide bevel, the case exhibits expected scattered losses, restorations, an imperfections, none of which take away from the stability, rustic charm or warm tonality of the peace, I note evidence of old wood worm, some scattered wood losses, stable splits to panels and boards, inherent wood knots, the top work surface shows some staining, spotting and wear, upper shelving is stable and as pictured, the doors open well, however the right door is lacking the lock mechanism, it does not stay fully closed, this could likely be adjusted, it is also lacking the escutcheon, someone has put a nail and tassel through the hole, presumably to use a pull, interior panels are thick and hand chamfered see image, overall the cabinet is rustic in nature exhibiting wear, loss and restoration commensurate with age, provincial origin and use
