09/09/2026: In my opinion regarding LOT 3234: I note that the commode is structurally sturdy, the marble top is intact with professional restoration, having typical edge chipping, mostly contained to the unfinished back edge, including a larger segment of loss near the left-hand corner consistent with inherent contact/ rubs against a wall, upon reviewing the drawers with my supervisor, we believe that the drawers are possibly re-constructed with newer elements, the matched veneer retains an overall uniform tone, with scattered professional fills under the lacquered finish, also having small, stable splits along the grain, most with professional reinforcement along the seam, all appear to be overall minor, the lacquered finish with a few spots of minor alligatoring/ crazing, as is typical, the lower edge of the right side panel with a minor glue restoration, the ormolu elements remain securely mounted and exhibit tonal variations associated with patination, mellowing, and rubs, the case overall having typical minor surface wear such as small veneer chips, nicks, and abrasions commensurate with age and use
