French cast iron crucifix cross, 19th c., remnants of a later silver-painted finish, having foliate wreath, centering Corpus Christi, over bulrushes and grape leaves, on naturalistic base, approx 51.5"h, 27"w, 7"d
11.24.24-In my opinion regarding LOT: 2214- while the cross will stand on its own, it is really not freestanding, it leans forward, it should be secured to the ground or against a wall, as commensurate with it with its years outside and rustic nature the cross displays oxidation, imperfections, remnants of silver paint, and wear throughout, there is a small loss to central leaf tip right above the base, see images, otherwise it appears intact overall
