French Transitional style commode, late 19th/ early 20th c., shaped marble top with breakfront profile, above the conforming case, three drawers with parquetry radiating chevron design, canted angles continuing to scrolled legs, approx 34"h, 45"w, 19.25"d
07.31.25: In my opinion, I note that the commode is structurally secure and sturdy, the marble top with some sparse, minute chipping, mostly at unfinished back edge commensurate with rubbing against a wall, the parquetry is overall well-retained and free from notable losses, having only some typical minor surface wear such as small nicks, abrasions, and minute chips, and some minor finish wear at the drawer fronts commensurate with age and use, the side panels intact with typical minor separation, some with a small amount of filled reinforcement, drawers operate smoothly and retain overall well-kept interiors
