Eames lounge chair and ottoman, Charles Eames (American, 1907-1978) and Ray Eames (American, 1912-1988) for Herman Miller, c.1978-1989, padded leather back and seat, molded rosewood plywood frame, enameled aluminum base, manufacturer's labels to underside of seat, chair seat lacking one button, chair: approx 31"h, 33"w, 35"d, ottoman: approx 17.5"h, 25.5"w, 22"d
10.9.25 - In my opinion regarding LOT 1195: As described the chair is lacking a button (see image), I note that the chair and ottoman stand sturdy and are structurally secure throughout, the leather remains securely bound throughout, and is free from observed holes or tearing, having typical minor surface wear such as light abrasions, some minor peeling concentrated at the seat, and areas of creasing, the plywood frame with some light scuffs and minor chipping at edges, described wear is typical and is commensurate with age and use, the plywood under one arm with a small piece of hardware with a rounded head, but I do not know its origin or what purpose it may serve, the metal finish with some light spotting and minor flaked losses commensurate with oxidation and use
