Exceptional Italian Murano art glass eight-light chandelier, 20th c., colorless glass with gold fleck inclusions, having scalloped ceiling mount, above tapering turned-form standard, issuing nine scrolled arms, each terminating on floral shade and single light, among numerous pink, green, and blue glass irises and twisted foliate stems, terminating on floriform drop finial, with U.S. wiring, one green shade with loss to petal, lacking one illuminated arm and six decorative stems, approx 46"h, 46"diam **Note: one of a pair offered in this auction** **Provenance: the contents of a Stratford Hills mansion** CR 5.17.25-I note that the chandelier is structurally sound and intact. As mentioned in the catalog description, it is currently fitted with U.S. wiring. It is lacking one illuminated arm, and on one of the illuminated arms, the green floral shade is lacking one petal. It appears to be missing six decorative floral and foliate stems, as there are six unfilled holes where the arms and stems join the standard. All of the arms and decorative stems are configurable, i.e. they are not currently affixed to the standard, and are therefore capable of being rearranged if desired. Though I currently do not observe any major losses or chips beside the one mentioned above, small chips and losses are typical on chandeliers of this type.
