Italian Florentine silver gilt painted wall mirror, early 20th c., having pierced crest with scrolled foliates and floral motifs, above conforming shaped frame, encasing flat mirror plates, some silver loss to lower mirror plate, approx 58"h, 35"w
11.21.24: In my opinion regarding LOT 3476: I note that the mirror is presently intact and structurally secure, note that the upper portion of the frame is slightly curved to protrude outward, the gilt-painted finish having inherent tonal variations and a small number of typical small flaked or chipped losses commensurate with age and use, there are some minor splits/ visible seams, which are also typical and appear to remain secure, the scrolled element extending from the upper left corner of rectangular frame with a segment of loss with glue residue from a previous reinforcement, the mirror plates remaining securely encased within framing and being free from observed visible fractures or chipping, the lower rectangular mirror plate having scattered silver losses as described
