04.27.2026- In my opinion regarding LOT 2178: I note that the frame securely encases mirror plate, which is free from observed hairlines/ fractures and visible chipping, I observe a minute presence of typical silver loss, the gilded finish with typical light rubs and mellowing, as well as spotting, having tonal variations associated with small gilt-painted touch-ups, the frame also we some typical small splits, most having been reinforced and concealed with aforementioned touch ups, and there are a few small chips with visible gesso commensurate with age and use
