Large Flemish carved wood relief sculpture, The Kiss of Judas, late 15th/ early 16th c., depicting the biblical betrayal scene in which Christ is identified to the authorities in the Garden of Gethsemane, with overlapping figures executed in high relief, affixed to later back and base, original polychrome finish stripped and surface waxed, intact with restoration, approx 21.5"h, 18"w, 7"d, 30lbs **Provenance: the Stanley Family's fine Tarrytown Estate.
