Condition

05.15.25: In my opinion regarding LOT 4265: The desk is comprised of malachite veneer mounted on an underlying wood frame; I note that the desk is presently intact and stands sturdy, the malachite being overall well-preserved, with a few small chips/ nicks and stable hairlines (are minute in size), the front left leg with a an area of professional reinforcement and filled concealment located near the sabot, I observe another small area of fill at the right-hand side apron with a small amount of smudged fill residue that is overall minor and could likely be buffed off, the sealant is also well-preserved with a sparse amount of typical minor seams and a couple areas of dripping, drawers operate smoothly with well-kept interiors, the ormolu elements remain securely mounted and retain and overall rich tone, with light patination and some minute spotting and pitting, I observe typical minor surface wear commensurate with light use and age such as small scuffs and abrasions
