10.8.25 - In my opinion regarding LOT 2189: Please note that the sideboard is currently staged in a rather dim corridor of our gallery and the tone in the attached images is a bit darker than in person, I note that the sideboard is structurally sturdy, the doors remain tight on the hinges, and the drawers operate smoothly, interiors appear overall well-kept/ clean, and the carved details are overall well preserved and free from notable losses, the wood having some light tonal variations inherent to the stripping process, and there are some typical minor splits along the inherent grain of the oak, the top of case with a few spots of light water rings and some spotting
