Venetian Louis XV style paint-decorated longcase clock, 20th c., having fanned rocaille crest, above glazed dial and pendulum viewing panels, waisted case with painted florals and foliate motifs, centering gilt and silver-tone metal dial inscribed "Tempus Fugit (Time Flies)," time-strike-and-chime movement, rising on short cabriole legs and whorl feet, accompanied by pendulum, observed operating and keeping good time for five minutes, approx 70.5"h, 15"w, 9.75"d

CR 6.12.25 - As noted in the catalog description, the clock was observed operating and keeping good time for five minutes. We did not observe the chime or the strike during this interval, though both appear to be present and intact, and the pendulum is also present. The movement does not appear to have a maker's mark. The clock winds easily. It is not accompanied by a key. As with all of our clocks, this piece would likely benefit from a professional inspection and a thorough cleaning.
